How To Clean Kitchen Grease?
Has it ever happened to you that after cleaning the kitchen surfaces and passing your hand around you still feel the grease sticking to them?
Whenever we cook we have to clean but we have to pay more attention to the cooking grease, because if we allow it to accumulate and harden it will be more difficult to remove.
Not only is cleaning necessary for your kitchen to be a pleasant and healthy environment in which to be, but it will also look good and the decoration will be the protagonist.
Here are some tips on how to clean various kitchen surfaces.
Routine cleaning is good for keeping the kitchen in excellent condition but it is important to pay attention to grease.
An excellent way to do this cleaning with products that we probably have at home is to fill a container with hot water (that will not burn our hands) and a little bit of liquid dish soap, mix it until it foams.
Wet a microfiber cloth, wring it out well and run it over all the greased surfaces.
When you finish, throw the soapy water away, wash the container and fill it with warm water and use another microfiber cloth to rinse the soapy surfaces.
Finally dry all the surfaces with a clean microfiber cloth.
This cleaning method can be done twice a week if you have a busy schedule to do this cleaning after each time you cook. Keep in mind that you should do a deep clean with special products at least once every 3 months.
When you clean the kitchen floor you should also put some dishwashing liquid in the mop bucket because grease tends to splash around.
How to clean the range hood?
The appliance that gets greased the most, and it should, because its job is to keep your kitchen from doing so.
To clean the range hood, you have to take out the removable parts and if they are dishwasher safe put them there. If that is not possible or if you do not have a dishwasher, leave them soaking in warm water with liquid dish soap for several minutes and then with the help of a brush rub gently to remove the grease.
The part attached to the wall will have to be cleaned with a cloth soaked in hot water and a little degreaser.
Don't forget to dry everything before reassembling the range hood.
What about the microwave?
Another appliance of frequent use that gets a lot of grease, it is very simple to clean with some ingredients that are available in most homes.
In a microwave-safe container, pour 1 glass of water and a spoonful of white vinegar (double that amount if your microwave is large or has a lot of grease stuck to it).
Place the container in the microwave and turn it on for 5 minutes at high power. Once the 5 minutes are over, wait a few extra minutes for the temperature to drop a little and the steam to help remove the grease (remember that the greasier your microwave is, the longer you should wait).
After you allowed the steam work its magic, open the microwave carefully as the hot steam may burn. Carefully remove the container and with the help of a wet cloth with a little baking soda rub the inside of the microwave.
Finish by rinsing out a damp cloth and the microwave will look as good as new.
